Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - On 5 March 2020, the construction site of the GTL plant in Uzbekistan was visited by representatives of foreign and national media, including The Economist (Great Britain), Les Echos (France), Energy Inelligene (USA), Petroleum Economist (Great Britain), Kun.uz, Seviml iTV, MY5, Reuters, UzA and others, the press center of Uzbekistan GTL reported.

The press tour was organized on the initiative of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Uzbekneftegaz JSC.

During the visit, reporters were provided with extensive information on the implementation of the investment project "Production of synthetic liquid fuels based on purified methane of the Shurtan Mining and Chemical Combine", as well as on construction work being carried out.

Journalists also got acquainted with the Central Control Panel of the GTL plant, where installation work is ongoing and the tuning of automation systems continues.

To date, the implementation of the EPC contract (on a turnkey basis) under the project is more than 84%. More than 10.5 thousand specialists and workers were mobilized at the construction site, as well as about 950 units of construction and special equipment were involved. Work continues at an active pace.
