Representatives of Acwa Power and L&T Construction visit Uzbekistan’s electrical industry enterprises
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A delegation led by John Zaidi, Regional Director of Saudi company Acwa Power, and Rajan Bansal, Head of L&T Construction for CIS countries, visited Uzbekistan’s Uzelectroapparat-Electroshield and the country’s technopark.
The main goal of the visit was to explore opportunities for sourcing locally produced cable and wire products, high-voltage equipment, metal frames, cooling systems, and other electrical components. These products may be used in solar power plant projects being developed by Acwa Power and constructed by L&T Construction in Uzbekistan.
During the visit, the delegation familiarized themselves with the manufacturing capacities, technological processes, product quality, compliance with international standards, and export potential of the enterprises.
The parties also exchanged views on technical requirements, terms of cooperation, and potential agreements.
This visit is an important step toward integrating Uzbekistan’s electrical industry into global renewable energy projects and promoting the participation of local manufacturers in the international green energy supply chain.
