Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 14 December 2022, a delegation of Uzbekistan took part in the meeting of the Regional Coordination Mechanism in the field of labor migration, which was held in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

The delegation included the head of the information and resource multimedia department of the National Center of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Human Rights Kamila Olimova.

The meeting discussed the prospects for the implementation of the IOM "Labor Migration Program in Central Asia", funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation in the field of labor migration. There was also an exchange of views on the need to implement the project of the Department of Labor Mobility and Social Integration in the region in the future, and practical proposals were developed in this regard.

The participants of the meeting of the Regional Coordination Mechanism developed specific areas of cooperation in order to improve the management of labor migration, support the use of people’s mobility in countries of origin and the potential of migrants.
