Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Public Services Agency (PSA) has temporarily suspended the provision of a service to replace an old driver’s license from 19 March to 2 April. According to the agency, this is due to technical and preventive measures.

The PSA notes that more than 2.6 million people have received new driver’s licenses. At the same time, more than 3.1 million people still have to change their driver’s licenses. The deadline for the replacement of rights is planned to be extended for another year - until 31 December 2023.

The agency emphasizes that, based on the number of citizens with old rights, it is planned to increase the number of points for replacing a driver’s license by at least 2 times, taking into account the approximate number of visitors.

As of 1 April 2022, invalid driving licenses will no longer be subject to appropriate enforcement action.
