Remmitances to Uzbekistan Reached US$18.9 Billion In 2025
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In 2025, inflows of money transfers to Uzbekistan totaled US$18.9 billion, marking a 27.2% increase compared to 2024. This indicator remains one of the key drivers of household income growth from external sources, according to the Central Bank of Uzbekistan.
On a month-by-month basis, the volume of money transfers throughout 2025 was consistently higher than in the corresponding months of the previous year.
The growth in transfer volumes was primarily driven by external factors. In particular, support came from the strengthening of currencies in key partner countries—most notably the Russian ruble—as well as an increase in the flow of labor migrants to several foreign countries.
At the same time, the positive net difference between foreign currency sales and purchases by the population in 2025 reached US$9.7 billion, 1.4 times higher than in 2024.
Overall, the sustained high growth of money transfers continues to be an important factor supporting domestic consumption and maintaining stability in the country’s foreign exchange market.
