Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Government resolution approved the Regulations on the procedure for calculating damage caused to natural objects during the illegal mining of non-metallic materials.
The regulation establishes the following:
the procedure for determining damage to natural objects in the illegal mining of non-metallic materials;
methods for calculating the damage caused by common minerals in the illegal mining of non-metallic materials;
methods for calculating damage from the discharge of pollutants into water bodies and terrain during the illegal mining of non-metallic materials;
the procedure for compensation and recovery of damage caused to natural objects during the illegal mining of non-metallic materials.
The requirements of this Regulation do not apply to the calculation of damage caused by the illegal mining of strategic (basic) types of minerals and precious metals by the artisanal method and the use of technogenic mineral formations.
The following cases are considered illegal mining of non-metallic materials:
use of a land plot containing non-metallic materials without obtaining a permit;
deviation from the boundaries of allocated land plots and mining allotment for the extraction of non-metallic materials.
