Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A Presidential resolution “On measures to further expand funding for events formed on the basis of public opinion through the information portal “Open Budget” was adopted.

According to the Resolution, until 1 October 2021:

For districts and cities where less than 1 billion soums have been formed in the fund for civil initiatives, an additional 57.9 billion soums will be allocated;

Through the information portal "Open Budget", regions and cities with more than 100 proposals received will be additionally allocated 59.5 billion soums.

From 1 January 2022, in the parameters of the budgets of districts and cities, 50 percent of the funds allocated for the repair of regional internal roads will be directed to the repair of internal roads, the need for which will be formed on the basis of public opinion through the Open Budget information portal.

By the khokimiyats of districts and cities, on a quarterly basis, by the 25th day of the month following the next quarter, information on the financing of events, formed on the basis of public opinion, is posted on the official website and information portal "Open Budget".

Also, a rating of regions by the level of citizens’ involvement in the process of proactive budgeting will be introduced.

In each mahalla and aul, "mobile" groups and a "corner of initiators" will be created, which will facilitate the process of voting and submitting proposals on the information portal "Open Budget".
