Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 20 October, Regional Electric Networks JSC, with the support of the Asian Development Bank, organized an event dedicated to the opening of a training center at the Energy Faculty of the Tashkent State Technical University named after Islam Karimov.
As noted at the event, the training center is fully equipped with modern computer equipment. All conditions for obtaining knowledge and advanced training in the field of designing electrical networks have been created here; a modern laboratory room has been prepared for laboratory exercises on the subject of ASKUE, and a training ground has been organized on the territory of the faculty. All this serves as a basis for the training of highly qualified personnel for the energy industry.
The training center opens up wide opportunities for both students and teachers and researchers: to expand and deepen the competencies of students in special areas of knowledge, to master practical skills in using modern devices of various types, to work with the modern DigSilent program in connection with the creation of a digital model of electric networks in Uzbekistan ; to improve the qualifications of teachers and researchers, to involve them together with students in the implementation of projects related to the development and improvement of electric power systems, to acquaint them with the development and operation of automated metering and control systems for electricity consumption by household consumers and industrial enterprises.
This training center was created in order to effectively organize the implementation of cooperation agreements between the Company and Tashkent State Technical University as part of a conference held in 2021, where the parties signed a Memorandum of Cooperation, as well as a Roadmap for the training of highly qualified specialists for the industry.
The capabilities of the training center allow:
- to develop cooperation between industrial enterprises and higher educational institutions;
- to attract talented students to work on the implementation of digitalization of electric power systems; to use the potential of the teaching staff of higher educational institutions to create scientific foundations that allow implementing projects in the field of energy;
- to acquaint students, teachers and specialists with the features of building an automated system for accounting and controlling power consumption, with its hardware and software;
-to form students’ skills in building and operating automated systems for accounting and controlling electricity consumption at industrial enterprises and household consumers;
-to consolidate the knowledge and skills of students in the installation, commissioning and operation of electrical network equipment;
- to form the skills of strict observance of safety regulations when working with equipment of power supply systems, including those at medium and low voltage classes.
During the event, specialists from the Almazar Power Supply Enterprise organized a demonstration of visual tactical exercises.
