Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 16 May 2025, the Ministry of Ecology, in cooperation with law enforcement agencies, transferred rare animals seized from a private individual to the Tashkent Zoo. Among them are an approximately two-month-old Amur tigress and seven pythons.

Currently, all the animals are under the care of veterinary specialists. Their condition is assessed as unsatisfactory. The tigress is undergoing an adaptation period, and every effort is being made to ensure her comfort and safety.

The Amur tiger is an endangered species listed in the Red Book. Possessing such animals in private conditions is not only illegal but also extremely dangerous.
