Ramadan month starts in Uzbekistan on 6 May

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Holy month of Ramadan will start in Uzbekistan on 6 May.

On 1 May, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree on the worthy conduct of the holy month of Ramadan.

The Muslim Board of Uzbekistan announced that the first day of Ramadan will begin on 6 May 2019.

Fasting is fardh (obligatory) for adult Muslims, except those who are ill, travelling, pregnant, diabetic or going through menstrual bleeding.
