Railway to be constructed to Khiva

In accordance with these instructions, a large-scale creative work was carried out over the past short period. Currently, the construction of 33 kilometers of railways between Urgench and Khiva, and of a modern railway station and facilities of the corresponding infrastructure in Khiva is actively continuing. According to the target program it is planned to arrange transport, hotel, postal, banking, catering services and others.

The President of Uzbekistan got acquainted with the ongoing work at the station of the city of Khiva and promising projects.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted the need of fully using the opportunities of Khorezm region in the sphere of tourism, creating all conditions for tourists, attracting experienced specialists to the construction of hotels and entertainment facilities, gave appropriate instructions to responsible persons on improvement of the area around Ichan-kala, construction of a recreation park.
