Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- From 15 January 2022, citizens entering the territory of Uzbekistan (with the exception of road traffic) must provide a negative test result for the presence of coronavirus infection, performed by PCR no more than 48 hours before entry, as well as pass an express antigen test for the presence of coronavirus infection at the entrance to the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
At the same time, citizens entering from the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic through border automobile checkpoints must provide only a negative test result for the presence of coronavirus infection, performed by PCR no more than 48 hours before entry, and citizens entering from the territories of other border states rapid antigen test for the presence of coronavirus infection.
At the same time, citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Tajikistan, entering and leaving, as well as following in transit from the territories of Sokh, Shokhimardon, Chungara, Toshtepa, Bunyodkor, Zhomi and Kardoshlik settlements of the Republic of Uzbekistan, are not required to pass all types of testing for coronavirus infection.
Along with this, from 15 January 2022, the crossing of the State border of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the Republic of Kazakhstan by citizens of the two countries is temporarily suspended, with the exception of the following categories of persons:
all categories of citizens entering by air;
citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Kazakhstan (hereinafter referred to as citizens of the Parties) returning to their homeland;
employees of intergovernmental courier communications;
drivers engaged in international transportation of goods;
persons following as part of official (government) delegations;
employees of diplomatic missions, consular offices and international organizations, as well as members of their families;
maintenance personnel of facilities of the Republic of Uzbekistan located on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as facilities of the Republic of Kazakhstan located on the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan;
citizens of Uzbekistan, as well as Kazakhstan, carrying out their activities within the framework of investment projects in these states;
citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan permanently residing in the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan permanently residing in the Republic of Kazakhstan;
citizens of the Parties traveling for the purpose of study;
citizens of the Parties entering (leaving) for medical purposes, for the purpose of visiting seriously ill close relatives, or participating in the funeral of close relatives;
citizens of the Parties accompanying the bodies of deceased citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan and citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
