Qamchiq pass to be closed for old trucks

Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan issued a resolution on additional measures on ordering cargo transportation with automobile transport via Qamchiq pass.

At the same time, the document said that transportation of cargo via pass with vehicles with exploitation period of 20 years and over will be forbidden from 1 July 2014 and vehicles with exploitation period of 15 years and over from 1 July 2016.

The document said that it is planned to construct and equip control points at 185 and 273 km of automobile road A-373 “Road M-39-Gulistan-Buka-Angren-Qoqand through Andijan-Osh”.
