Putin congratulates Islam Karimov with Uzbekistan’s Independence Day

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Russia Vladimir Putin congratulated President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov on the country’s national holiday, Independence Day, the press service of Kremlin said.

In his message, the Russian President notes the success made by Uzbekistan in addressing social and economic development issues and the well-deserved respect it commands among the countries of Central Asia and beyond.

Mr Putin highly assessed the dynamic development of relations between Russia and Uzbekistan in all areas in the spirit of strategic partnership and alliance.

The Russian leader expressed confidence in the further development of the entire range of bilateral relations and constructive cooperation within the UN, the CIS, the SCO and other multilateral associations in the interests of the two countries’ citizens and in the spirit of strengthening regional stability and security.
