Pulat Bobojonov heads Interior Ministry, Abdusalom Azizov becomes Minister of Defense
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev appointed a new interior minister on 4 September.
According to the decree of the President, Pulat Bobojonov was appointed to the post of Minister of Interior Affairs of Uzbekistan.
Prior to this appointment, he worked as a khokim of Khorezm region. In this post he replaced Abdusalom Azizov.
The head of Uzbekistan appointed Abdusalom Azizov to the post of the Minister of Defense of Uzbekistan.
Former chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan (in 2006-2015) Ilgizar Sobirov became the acting khokim of Khorezm region.
