Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As we reported earlier, the flow of citizens visiting public service centers (PSC) to replace their driver's license has recently increased.
What is the problem?
The Public Services Agency listened to the opinions and suggestions of our citizens, members of the public and users of social networks who visit PSC and analyzed this issue.
For the convenience of the population, the deadline for replacing the old driver's license with a new one, which expired in December last year, has been extended until 31 December 2022, and this process is planned to be carried out in 4 stages.
Old driving licenses are subject to mandatory replacement with new ones within the following terms:
Issued before 2010 - until 31 March 2022;
Issued in 2010 - 2012 - until 30 June 2022;
Issued in 2013 - 2015 - until 30 September 2022;
Issued after 2015 - until 31 December 2022.
The main reason for the problem is that on 31 March 2022, the first stage of replacing old driver's licenses will be completed, after which the "rights" issued before 2010 will be considered invalid, and to date, most citizens have not replaced the document by the deadline. Thus, the flow of service recipients in the Centers naturally increased. (Dynamics of visitor growth is indicated in the infographic)
What is being done to solve the problem?
In order to create additional conveniences and resolve the issue of providing this service to citizens, as well as due to the large number of applicants from the regions, the responsible persons of the PSC are planning to:
In the Public Service Centers of Mirabad, Mirzo-Ulugbek, Yashnabad, Yakkasaray, Sergeli, Chilanzar, Uchtepa, Shaykhantakhur, Almazar, Yunusabad districts of the city of Tashkent, from 21 February 2022, an extended regime “until the last client” has been organized. To this end, the work schedule has been revised within the framework of labor legislation.
At the same time, drivers can use the service to replace the national driver's license from Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to late evening, and on Saturday from 09:00 to 13:00.
We remind you that for replacing the old "driver's license" with a new one, you can apply not only to the PSC, but also directly to the authorized units of the Central Internal Affairs Directorate.
