Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - A Public Foundation to Support Children is being created in Uzbekistan. The Public Foundation is created in accordance with the resolution of the President of Uzbekistan.
According to the document, the Public Foundation is created with the support of the Parliament and the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan.
The main tasks of the Public Foundation are the treatment of children from needy families, orphans, children with serious illnesses and the disabled, support of their education, provision of housing and professional activities.
The Foundation will organize and finance activities to identify and provide targeted social and material assistance to children in difficult life situations, as well as children in need of social protection.
The new structure will introduce additional mechanisms for the provision of medical, social and financial assistance for the timely diagnosis of severe, chronic and rare diseases that threaten the lives of children and their treatment in Uzbekistan or abroad.
The document notes that the Foundation will provide assistance to children with retarded physical or mental development in obtaining education, including the provision of special educational literature and teaching aids.
The Foundation will take measures for the social adaptation of children with disabilities, vocational training for them in accordance with their interests and providing them with equipment for self-employment at home.
The Public Foundation for Children Support will provide children from low-income families and children with disabilities with free medicines, medical and prosthetic and orthopedic products.
The supreme governing body of the Public Foundation is the general meeting of its founders, which is held at least once a year. The Board of Trustees of the Foundation is the governing body of the board between general meetings.
The main Foundations of the Children's Foundation are formed at the expense of the state budget in 2021-2022, depending on the actual use of Foundations through gratuitous financial assistance in the amount of 100 billion soums, voluntary donations from individuals and legal entities, grants allocated by state, foreign and international organizations, foreign countries, Foundations received through crowdFoundationing mechanisms, income from the placement of temporarily free Foundations on deposits in commercial banks and other sources not prohibited by law.
