Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Regulation on the appointment of public educators to minors was approved by the resolution of the Government of Uzbekistan. This was reported by the Ministry of Justice of Uzbekistan.
According to the regulation, the main task of public educators is individual work with neglected and unattended minors, as well as those who have committed an offense or socially dangerous act, as well as helping their parents (or persons replacing them) in raising minors.
The public educator for minors must:
be at least 30 years old;
have at least two years of work experience with minors;
to be a citizen of Uzbekistan, able to have a positive impact on minors with their life experience and moral qualities.
Female community caregivers will be assigned to minor girls.
The decision on the selection and appointment of a public educator is made by the district (city) interdepartmental commission on juvenile affairs.
A community educator can be assigned to the following minors:
in respect of whom the court has applied coercive measures or committed an administrative offense;
conditionally released before the expiration of the sentence of imprisonment;
those who have returned from specialized educational institutions or who have already served their sentence in an educational colony;
neglected and unattended minors;
minor children from families in need of assistance in raising a child.
Public educators who actively and conscientiously performed the assigned tasks and achieved positive results can be encouraged by a one-time monetary reward up to 5 times the amount of basic estimated values (up to 1 million 225 thousand soums).
A public educator is assigned to a minor for a period of up to 3 months.
According to the results of the public educator’s report, this period can be extended once, but for no more than 3 months.
