Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Polish investors are watching with interest the development of all areas in the economy and social sphere of Uzbekistan. In particular, one of the leading companies in this field, Świat Przesyłek ("World of Parcels"), expressed interest in working on the country’s postal market, Dunyo news agency reported.
According to the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Poland, Świat Przesyłek has been operating in the Polish and international markets since 2013 and is constantly expanding its portfolio through new logistics solutions - postal and courier express services. The company operates in 42 countries of the world and has created an improved version of the logistics structure for the distribution of consolidated international shipments directly in the recipient country, bypassing unnecessary transshipment warehouses.
During a meeting in Tashkent, General Director and owner of the Polish express mail company Petr Koson with First Deputy Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade Laziz Kudratov, General Director of Uzbekiston Pochtasi JSC Alisher Fayzullayev discussed the issue of investing in opening a representative office in Uzbekistan.
The negotiations were also attended by the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Poland Bahrom Babayev.
Petr Koson expressed his readiness to invest in the opening of a network of express parcels in Uzbekistan and to allocate at least US$5 million for this project.
An open and meaningful exchange of views on this issue took place, the heads of the Uzbek departments supported the initiative of the Polish company to open a representative office in Uzbekistan. This is especially important in light of the existing problems in this area, which were discussed at a meeting led by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, dedicated to the reform of the country’s postal industry. The meeting emphasized the need to turn this industry into a sphere that generates income through Internet trade, opening branches of international carrier companies in the regions.
An important element of the company’s development is IT service for receiving domestic and international orders. The company provides a wide range of services in this area.
The parties agreed to exchange relevant documentation and continue work on the introduction of advanced technologies of the Świat Przesyłek company into the postal service of Uzbekistan.
