Prospects for deepening mutually beneficial trade and economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Pakistan discussed

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Deputy Minister Furkat Sidikov met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Sayed Ali Asad Gilani at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.

Prospects for deepening mutually beneficial trade, economic, investment, cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the two countries were discussed, as well as the participation of the Pakistani side at the highest level in the work of the International Conference “Central and South Asia: Regional Interconnectedness. Challenges and Opportunities” were considered.

The importance of the full-scale implementation of the agreements reached and signed agreements following the results of the virtual summit between the leaders of Uzbekistan and Pakistan, held on 14 April 2021, actively promoting joint projects in such areas as healthcare, education, tourism, was emphasized.

The parties reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening the partnership and expanding multifaceted cooperation between the two countries.
