Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sofiq Safoev received Parliamentary Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan Satoshi Nakanishi.

During the meeting, the state and prospects for the further development of cooperation in the political, trade, economic, investment, as well as educational and environmental spheres, including the activation of inter-parliamentary ties, were discussed.

Prospects for deepening cooperation within the framework of the Dialogue "Central Asia + Japan" - a platform for the comprehensive development of bilateral relations, ensuring sustainable economic growth in the region and strengthening ties between the states of Central Asia and Japan were considered.

The current state and prospects for the development of interaction between the two countries in the cultural and humanitarian sphere were discussed, including the issues of raising joint efforts in the field of higher education to a new level.

The parties also expressed their readiness to further deepen cooperation and exchanged views on issues of interest to them.
