Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- First Deputy Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov met with the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Nemanja Starovic.

During the meeting, the current state and prospects of Uzbek-Serbian cooperation in trade, economic, investment and transport and logistics spheres were discussed.

The parties agreed on further steps to increase trade and develop industrial cooperation between the two countries.

The issues of interaction in order to develop the legal framework between the two countries in the economic sphere were discussed separately. It was agreed that the parties will start preparing draft intergovernmental agreements on mutual encouragement and protection of investments, as well as on the avoidance of double taxation. 

Following the talks, the parties agreed to continue joint work aimed at stimulating bilateral trade, economic and investment cooperation.
