Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- An online meeting was held between the First Deputy Minister of Health of Uzbekistan Bakhodir Yusupaliev and President of the French Healthcare Association Jean-François Gendron.
The parties exchanged views on the epidemiological situation and measures taken to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, and also discussed the prospects for cooperation in the field of sanitary and public health.
It should be noted that the event was also attended by specialists from the French Foch Hospital, the Curie Research Institute, Laboratories Cerba Health Care and the developers of the worldwide medical digital platform INVIVOX.
The parties expressed their interest and stressed their readiness to establish fruitful cooperation in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. French Healthcare plans to organize missions to Uzbekistan for resuscitation specialists from Foch hospital. The Cerba Healthcare medical biology laboratory network offered its expertise in laboratory audits, equipment selection and preanalytical training.
The French side announced its readiness to receive Uzbek specialists and its intention to make a mission to Uzbekistan to provide technical and medical advice. During the meeting, issues of establishing scientific and educational cooperation were also discussed.
The French Embassy in Uzbekistan and the Uzbek Embassy in France have confirmed their readiness to support this long-term cooperation.
