Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Finland, with his residence in Riga, Kadambay Sultanov, held talks in the format of a video conference with Professor of the University of Helsinki Jari Lavonnen, Dunyo news agency reported.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the practical aspects of attracting Finnish experts and education managers to work in Uzbekistan. An exchange of views took place on the prospects for broader cooperation in the field of education with Finland.
The European scientist was informed in detail about the conceptual provisions of the Address of the President of Uzbekistan to the Oliy Majlis, the most important tasks arising from the State Program "Year of Support for Youth and Strengthening Public Health", primarily in terms of cardinal reform of the education system, including using the advanced Finnish experience.
Jari Lavonnen highly appreciated the transformations carried out in Uzbekistan under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and noted the innovative nature of approaches to the implementation of progressive teaching methods in the education system of our country.
As a result of the negotiations, an agreement was reached on the joint study of the issue of attracting leading Finnish experts with rich practical experience in the development of curricula, teaching aids, literature, textbooks, as well as training and advanced training of teaching staff to reform the education system in Uzbekistan.
