Prospective students with international certificates to be exempt from tests in relevant subjects

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Prospective students, who have certificates of leading international examination systems, will be exempt from tests in the relevant subjects during the entrance exams to universities.

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a resolution "On additional measures to improve the quality of education in higher educational institutions and ensure their active participation in the large-scale reforms being implemented in the country."

The head of Uzbekistan instructed to develop and introduce in the established order to the Cabinet of Ministers the procedure for assigning applicants with certificates of the leading international examination systems (TOEFL, IELTS, CEFR, SAT General, SAT Subject, etc.) to the maximum number of points in the relevant subjects with their exemption from tests in the relative subjects.

The President also instructed, by 1 January 2019, to develop and introduce in the established order to the Cabinet of Ministers measures for the phased creation of a system for accepting documents of applicants in electronic form.
