Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 23 September, a delegation headed by the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Uzbekistan Nigmatilla Yuldashev in Nur-Sultan took part in the 31st meeting of the Coordination Council of the Prosecutors General of the CIS member states.
Within the framework of this event, a bilateral meeting was held between the Prosecutors General of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, during which the parties discussed a wide range of issues of mutual interest, exchanged views on the prospects for the development of interagency cooperation and the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Tajikistan invited the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Uzbekistan to pay an official visit to Dushanbe.
The result of the meeting was the signing of the Program of Cooperation between the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2022-2023.
The signing of this document will contribute to the further practical implementation of the Agreement between the Prosecutor General’s Offices of the two countries on legal assistance and cooperation, signed on 6 February 2018 in Tashkent, as well as the exchange of experience in the field of combating crime.
The parties expressed satisfaction with the constructive dialogue that took place and expressed their readiness to further develop bilateral interdepartmental cooperation.
