Prosecutor General of Uzbekistan takes part in the 31st meeting of the Coordination Council of Prosecutors General of the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Prosecutor General of the Republic of Uzbekistan Nigmatilla Yuldashev took part in the 31st meeting of the Coordinating Council of Prosecutors General of the Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CPG), which is taking place in Nur-Sultan (Republic of Kazakhstan).

The meeting was attended by delegations of the Prosecutor Generals' Offices of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, representatives of the KSGP Secretariat, the CIS Executive Committee, as well as the International Association of Prosecutors.

Opening the meeting, the presiding Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Igor Krasnov addressed the meeting participants with a welcoming speech and congratulated them on the 30th anniversary of the Commonwealth of Independent States.

The President of the International Association of Prosecutors Chol-Kyu Hwan, who was invited to the meeting as a guest of honor, also addressed the participants with a welcoming speech.

The meeting discussed issues on its agenda, as well as an exchange of experience in priority areas of activity of prosecutors in the field of security, combating corruption and other types of organized crime, protecting the rights and interests of citizens.

The participants emphasized the need to consolidate efforts in the fight against crime, including through the expansion and deepening of cooperation between the members of the CSGP.

The Prosecutor General of the Republic of Uzbekistan Nigmatilla Yuldashev, in his speech, informed his foreign colleagues about the experience of the Prosecutor General's Office in introducing modern information and communication technologies into the activities of the prosecutor's office.

He noted that the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan approved the Strategy "Digital Uzbekistan - 2030", approved 13 programs for digital transformation of regions and 7 programs for digital transformation of industries, thereby giving a new impetus to the ongoing efforts to digitalize the activities of state bodies and organizations. 

The Prosecutor General spoke about the ongoing comprehensive work on the full-scale digitalization of the activities of the prosecutor's office.

In particular, it was emphasized that in this process, special attention is paid to:

- implementation of online control tools;

- increasing the transparency of administrative procedures and limiting direct contacts with individuals and legal entities;

- improving the methods of interdepartmental electronic interaction.

Of particular interest was the experience of introducing an electronic document management system in the prosecutor's office of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

As a result of the meeting, relevant decisions were made, including on holding the next meeting of the Prosecutors General of the CIS member states in 2022 in the Republic of Belarus.
