Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 16 December 2022, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Gairat Fozilov met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland Radoslav Gruk.
During the conversation, the current state and prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation were considered.
The ambassador was informed about the key initiatives of the head of state, announced at international platforms. The relevance of the proposal of the President of Uzbekistan to form, under the auspices of the UN, a high-level International Negotiating Group to prepare and agree with the Afghan authorities on an algorithm for the phased fulfillment of the obligations of the parties was especially emphasized.
A thorough exchange of views took place on the practical aspects of the implementation of the previously reached agreements.
Specific proposals were discussed to enhance trade, economic and investment ties, including holding the next meeting of the Uzbek-Polish Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation. Interest was expressed in establishing close cooperation in the field of labor migration.
An exchange of views also took place on the issue of expanding partnership in the cultural, humanitarian and educational fields.
