Proposal on establishing additional non-working days for 2021 announced

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – The Ministry of Labor published for discussion a draft presidential decree on the establishment of additional non-working days and the postponement of days off in 2021.

It is proposed to establish the following additional days off in 2021:

- 2 September - Thursday;

- 3 September - Friday.

In addition, in connection with the celebration of Navruz, the postponement of the weekend on 27 March (Saturday) to 22 March (Monday) has been determined. Thus, 27 March will be a working day, and 22 March - a non-working day.

Also, 2 January (Saturday), 4 September (Saturday) and 22 March (Monday) will be days off for all employees, regardless of the type of their work week.

The document envisages that for budgetary organizations additional non-working days are compensated by reducing the duration of the annual leave by two working days. In this case, the minimum duration of the vacation cannot be less than 15 working days. - in budgetary organizations, an additional non-working day is compensated by reducing the duration of the annual labor leave of employees by one working day;
