Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A working group led by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov left for Bukhara region, where they visited a number of production facilities, studied promising investment projects, held meetings with local manufacturers and project initiators, discussing existing issues, as well as plans and prospects for expanding their activities.

During the visits to the enterprises, the entrepreneurs acquainted the members of the working group with the ongoing initiatives, aspects of technological processes in production, implemented industrial innovations and plans to enter export markets.

It should be noted that most of the studied industrial facilities are high-tech industries. The implementation of these projects will significantly increase the volume of the regional gross product, build up industrial and export potential, and also create prerequisites for import substitution of high value-added products, which are currently in demand in the domestic market.

Also on the ground, the existing problems that entrepreneurs face in practice were studied. Based on the results of the study of the issues raised, targeted instructions were given to the heads of relevant ministries, departments, commercial banks and local authorities. The task was set to provide the maximum possible assistance in the implementation of projects and speed up their commissioning, ensuring further continuous support for the activities of the launched productions. 

They also discussed the possibility of providing financial assistance to project initiators through bank loans and attracting resources from the Direct Investment Fund under the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade.
