Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During a visit to the IT Park, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed projects aimed at the broad implementation of artificial intelligence technologies across ministries, agencies, and other sectors of Uzbekistan’s economy and social life.
The meeting highlighted that AI has become a key driver in the economy, education, healthcare, and security systems. These technologies enhance government efficiency, ensure rational resource use, and improve the quality of services provided to citizens. The President emphasized that the achievements in AI implementation over recent years are only the first steps, and a large-scale effort lies ahead to develop this field.
Particular attention was given to the need for actively promoting AI initiatives, accelerating the adoption of advanced solutions, and keeping pace with global trends. Presentations showcased practical applications of AI in the economy and social sphere, as well as the dissemination of successful domestic practices. It was stressed that the dynamic development of the sector requires continuous analysis of national and international experience, close collaboration with young specialists, international experts, and the private sector.
A priority factor in AI development remains the training of qualified personnel. Several innovative educational programs are being implemented to build the necessary competencies. In particular, the “University–Industry–International Cooperation” cluster project was presented, aimed at improving AI literacy among students, enhancing teacher qualifications, developing specialized educational materials, and training a new generation of specialists.
Additionally, the educational platform AI Maktab was demonstrated, offering young people the opportunity to acquire digital skills and modern professions. The platform provides remote learning across a wide range of areas — from virtual assistant development and digital marketing to AI content creation and business analytics. The President stressed the importance of expanding such programs and leveraging the innovative potential of youth to develop key sectors.
The visit also included discussions on AI research and teaching laboratories and current projects implemented by commercial banks. The President emphasized the need for broader development of research and practical initiatives in higher education institutions.
President Mirziyoyev reviewed innovative projects by talented youth, including PromptLab, Detecting-AI.com, and KotibAI. It was noted that such programs and applications create significant opportunities to increase labor efficiency, expand revenue sources, and simplify intellectual work in both small teams and large companies. Currently, these developments are already being applied in the financial sector, construction industry, and creative teams.
Following the visit, President Mirziyoyev approved the presented initiatives and projects, issuing recommendations and instructions to accelerate the integration of artificial intelligence across various sectors of the country.
