Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 30 January 2022, a working group led by Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov left for Navoi region, where an analysis of investment activities was carried out and projects implemented in the region were studied.
Particular attention was paid to the current state of projects implemented in the Navoi Free Economic Zone. It was noted that the FEZ currently has unused areas and infrastructure potential for the creation of new large industrial enterprises.
In this regard, it was instructed to develop proposals for enhancing the involvement of investors and entrepreneurs in the implementation of new projects in the FEZ by creating more favorable conditions for localizing the production of import-substituting products and creating high-tech industries.
Also, the working group, having visited a number of industrial facilities, got acquainted with the production process and discussed with the project initiators plans for further expansion of activities and existing problems.
The issues raised were taken under control, and the heads of the relevant ministries and departments were given appropriate instructions to address them.
