Programme on complex development of Mirzo-Ulugbek district adopted

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Government of Uzbekistan approved a programme on complex development of Mirzo-Ulugbek district of Tashkent city for 2017-2019.

The programme includes addressed list of investment projects on new construction, modernization, technical and technological update of capacities on production of food and non-food consumer goods, as well as modern construction materials.

The list includes 108 projects with total cost of US$121.125 million. Implementation of the projects will help to create over 3,090 jobs.

The programme also approved the list of the projects on localization of production, which envisage organization of competitive import-replacing production. It is planned to realize 22 projects with forecasted localization level of 93%.

The programme also includes the list of investment projects on development of service sector and service infrastructure. It is expected that 108 projects for US$142.645 million with creation of 1,527 jobs will be realized within the programme.

The list of investment projects on further improving social infrastructure, envisaging capital repair and reconstruction of pre-school and general schools, educational institutions, healthcare, culture and art was also approved.

Within the programme, it is also planned to change architectural look of the district, construction of engineering-communication and production infrastructure.

It is also planned to construct new dehkan market, improve Salar channel’s banks, construction of new multi-story houses.
