Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan plans to visit Uzbekistan in July 2021, Pakistani newspaper Express Tribune reports.
The main topic for the visit will be the development of trade and economic relations. It is noted that Uzbekistan can become a gateway to Turkestan for Pakistan. In return, Islamabad can offer to share its seaports.
Pakistani Prime Minister's Advisor for Trade, Textiles, Industry, Manufacturing and Investments Abdul Razak Davud said that the development of cooperation with Tashkent would help increase Pakistani exports to Turkestan countries.
In September 2020, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov visited Pakistan. Within the framework of the visit, a joint working group on trade and economic issues was created.
