Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Prime Minister of the Italian Republic, Giorgia Meloni, will pay an official visit to Uzbekistan on 28–29 May.

High-level negotiations and meetings will take place in the city of Samarkand.

Originally, the visit of the head of the Italian government was scheduled for 25–26 April but was postponed due to the passing of Pope Francis and the subsequent rescheduling of related events in Italy.

During the visit, the parties are expected to discuss key areas of Uzbek-Italian cooperation, including trade and economic relations, investment, industrial cooperation, as well as cultural and humanitarian ties.
