Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- At the invitation of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi will visit Uzbekistan to attend the 22nd meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, which will be held on 15-16 September in Samarkand.

During the summit, the leaders are expected to review the activities of the organization over the past two decades and discuss the state and prospects for multilateral cooperation in the future. Topical issues of regional and global importance will also be discussed.

According to preliminary information, Narendra Modi will hold several bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the summit. This was announced by the official office of the Prime Minister of India.
