Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev as part of his participation in the Central Asia-European Union summit.
Issues of further strengthening the Uzbek-Kazakh relations of good neighborliness, strategic partnership and alliance were considered.
The need to expand practical cooperation in priority areas of bilateral cooperation was noted.
Particular attention was paid to the prospects for increasing trade turnover, the implementation of investment projects in the fields of industry, energy, transport and logistics, agriculture and other sectors of the economy.
There was also an exchange of views on regional and international issues. The agenda of the upcoming summit of the Organization of Turkic States, which will be held in the city of Samarkand on 11 November, was discussed.
