Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 30 August, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko.

At the beginning of the conversation, the leader of Belarus sincerely congratulated the President and the multinational people of Uzbekistan on the 30th anniversary of the country’s independence.

In turn, the head of our state cordially congratulated the President of Belarus on his birthday, wishing him good health, prosperity and great success.

Topical issues of further development of the Uzbek-Belarusian multifaceted cooperation were discussed. The high indicators of the dynamics of trade turnover, successful examples of cooperation between leading enterprises and companies, as well as educational institutions of the two countries, were noted with satisfaction.

The importance of expanding practical interaction and promoting joint projects in the fields of industry, innovation, agricultural machinery, livestock, pharmaceuticals, utilities, information and communication technologies and other areas was emphasized.

The schedule of upcoming events at the highest level, including the preparation for the CIS summit under the chairmanship of the Belarusian side, was considered.
