Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The presidential elections in Uzbekistan were held in accordance with national legislation and the country’s international obligations. This was stated by the Deputy Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Yerik Ashimov.

Erik Ashimov headed the mission of observers from the organization at the presidential elections in Uzbekistan.

He noted that the observers did not reveal any violations that cast doubt on the results of the voting.
