Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- By the relevant decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the first deputy chairman of the Committee on Religious Affairs under the Cabinet of Ministers Muzaffar Kamilov was appointed adviser to the President on issues of interaction with public and religious organizations. 

He will retain the post of rector of the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan.

Shoazim Minovarov, who served as Advisor to the President, will continue his work as the head of the Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan.
