Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the University mahalla in Tashkent’s Almazar district.

The implementation of social programs in the context of mahallas is the main requirement of the Head of the state. Work is also organized in the University mahalla. A modern renovation of the citizens’ assembly building has been carried out. Courtyards of houses and playgrounds have been landscaped, internal roads are covered with concrete, and 700 meters of bicycle paths have been built.

In November last year, the nationwide project Yashil Makon (Green Space) was launched. The Head of the state noted that along with planting tree seedlings, it is necessary to create streets with galleries of vines in mahallas. In this regard, props have been installed and grapes have been planted in University mahalla on a street with a length of 750 meters. Flowers such as basil and mirabilis are planted in the squares in front of multi-storey buildings.

More than 4 thousand people live in the mahalla. The facade and entrances of 19 apartment buildings have been updated. There is also a private school with 150 seats. Local youth and women work in more than a dozen small enterprises.

The President got acquainted with the work carried out in the mahalla and talked with activists and elders.

“First of all, I would like to congratulate you on the Ramadan month and on the fact that your mahalla has acquired such a well-maintained appearance. This is an example of what will happen if managers work at the grassroots. Previously, hokim remembered the mahalla when he wanted to. Now all the systems will be present in the mahalla. Why? To reach every family, every person. I want this work to be accelerated in all mahallas”, Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.

Last year, 579 mahallas of Tashkent received 2 billion UZS each. This year, another 1 billion UZS will be allocated to each of them.

The Head of the state also got acquainted with the activities of Olmazor Holding Grand Managing Service Company operating in the mahalla.

As in many places, there were problems with utilities in the University mahalla.

On 19 June 2021, the President of Uzbekistan signed a resolution “On further improvement of the management system of apartment buildings”. Thanks to the new opportunities, Olmazor Holding Grand was established, in a two-story building in which comfortable conditions were created.

The company maintains 103 apartment buildings in 7 mahallas. Previously, these houses were serviced by 27 companies. They did not have their specialists, except for the director, as well as special equipment. Currently, 70 permanent jobs have been created in the service company. Special equipment has been purchased. A utility training center has also been opened in the company's building.

The company has a billing system. My Home mobile application has been launched for the convenience of the population.

About 30 consumer service centers are organized in the building of the management company, as well as in the basements of multi-storey buildings. The President got acquainted with their activity.

The management service companies that will be established in the districts of Tashkent were also presented.
