Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A resolution of the President “On strengthening the protection of motherhood and childhood in 2022-2026” was adopted.
In accordance with the resolution, the following will be created:
"Children’s Medical Cluster" in the city of Nukus;
department of resuscitation of newborns in 46 new inter-district perinatal centers;
from 1 May 2022 children’s departments in district (city) central polyclinics, family polyclinics in the city of Tashkent;
departments of anesthesiology and resuscitation of children, as well as round-the-clock pediatric posts of emergency medical care in medical associations of districts (cities);
reference laboratories for early diagnosis of hereditary genetic, including orphan, diseases in children at the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center for Pediatrics, as well as its 17 regional laboratories in the regions.
Also, in 2022-2023, the activities of 29 emergency perinatal and emergency pediatric mobile resuscitation teams on duty at the Republican Perinatal Center, perinatal centers and children’s multidisciplinary medical centers will be organized.
In pediatric multidisciplinary medical centers and in all maternity complexes, audio screening measures are used for the early detection of hearing impairment in young children.
From 1 July 2022, an additional 3,600, and from 1 January 2023, an additional 4,900 paramedical workers (pediatric nurses and midwives) will be allocated to the “medical teams” to fully cover children and pregnant women and women of childbearing age with better medical services .
From 1 May 2022, the Center for Pediatric Hematology, Oncology and Clinical Immunology will provide free meals for carers of sick children (parents, etc.).
