President signs decree on the development of dehkan farms and financial support for farmers
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The President of Uzbekistan has signed a decree titled “On Additional Measures for Implementing a Modern Organizational System and Financial Support for Household Landowners and Dehkan Farms.”
Under the decree, the Council of Farmers, Dehkan Farms, and Household Landowners has been reorganized into the Council of Farmers of Uzbekistan.
The Ministry of Employment and Poverty Reduction has been assigned new responsibilities aimed at developing dehkan farms and household plots. These include:
Additionally, depending on the specialization of districts and mahallas, the government plans to engage the population in high-income activities using innovative and environmentally sustainable approaches, contributing to poverty reduction.
A Support Fund for Dehkan Farms and Household Landowners has been established under the Ministry of Employment and Poverty Reduction and the Farmers’ Support Fund.
