President Reviews “Yangi Uzbekistan” Residential Complex in Kashkadarya

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the “Yangi Uzbekistan” residential complex, recently built in the Yakkabag district of Kashkadarya region.

The complex represents a modern urban development designed in line with advanced city planning standards and aimed at improving the quality of life for local residents. Covering an area of 18 hectares, the project includes 54 five-story apartment buildings, housing a total of 1,400 units. The new buildings, landscaped courtyards, and well-planned public spaces have significantly transformed the appearance of the district.

The complex is distinguished by its integrated approach to urban planning. All buildings are connected to modern utility systems. The courtyards are equipped with playgrounds, sports facilities, parking zones, recreational areas, and service points.

A central feature of the infrastructure is a three-story eco-market located in the heart of the complex. Here, local farmers can sell their produce directly to consumers, ensuring both quality and affordability. The market plays a vital role in food security while also creating employment — 640 jobs have been established there.

The President reviewed the market’s facilities and spoke with both vendors and shoppers.
“Markets are a reflection of a nation’s well-being, prosperity, and culture. It is very encouraging to see such a modern and convenient space created in Yakkabag. Purchasing power is growing, and so is the culture of consumption. That’s why similar trade centers should be developed in other regions as well,” Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted.

Special attention has been given to environmental sustainability. The buildings are equipped with solar panels and solar thermal collectors on their rooftops, reducing energy consumption and enhancing the complex’s resilience to external factors.

The complex also features a unified concept for leisure and community life, including walking paths, a kindergarten, sports facilities, and wellness centers. All infrastructure elements are logically integrated and designed to meet the needs of various age groups.

The President instructed relevant agencies to develop and implement similar projects across the country, incorporating principles of energy efficiency, environmental responsibility, and a human-centered approach.
