President of Uzbekistan to pay visit to Brussels

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbek President Islam Karimov will pay a visit to Brussels on 24 January 2011 on the invitation of the President of the European Union Commission Jose Manuel Barroso.

During the visit, the sides will consider current affairs and perspectives of Uzbekistan’s relations with the European Union and NATO, as well as regional and international issues of mutual interest.

It is expected that the sides will sign a number of documents aimed at deepening cooperation between Uzbekistan and the European Union in various fields.
