President of Uzbekistan to Participate in the Second World Summit for Social Development
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 3–4 November, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay a working visit to Doha at the invitation of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, to participate in the Second World Summit for Social Development.
The summit will focus on addressing global disparities in socio-economic development, reinforcing commitments to the goals and principles of the Copenhagen Declaration on Social Development, and accelerating progress on the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
Particular attention will be given to strengthening international cooperation, improving national strategies, and implementing comprehensive measures aimed at enhancing resilience, social justice, and inclusiveness across societies.
The World Summit for Social Development will serve as a major global platform for constructive dialogue among states, international and regional organizations, UN system entities, civil society institutions, and the expert and business communities.
The forum’s central objective is to intensify joint efforts to eradicate poverty, ensure full and productive employment, promote decent working conditions, and foster social integration amid contemporary challenges and increasing global interdependence.
At the conclusion of the summit, participants are expected to adopt the Doha Declaration, which will outline commitments to strengthening international partnerships and coordinated steps toward achieving sustainable and inclusive social progress.
