President of Uzbekistan to meet Putin in Ufa
Aide of the Russian President Yuriy Ushakov said that the meeting of the President Islam Karimov and President Vladimir Putin will be held on the sidelines of the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Ufa. He said that the meeting will take place on 10 July 2015.
Kremlin hopes to expand cooperation of Russia and Uzbekistan in energy sphere, which will be considered at the meeting of the leaders of two states.
Ushakov said that the negotiations will include issues of expanding cooperation in energy sphere. The sides will also discuss strengthening contacts in education sphere and other issues of bilateral interaction in trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres. Yuriy Ushakov said the presidents will also exchange opinion on actual global and regional issues.
The summits of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and BRICS will be held in Ufa, Russia, from 8 to 10 July 2015.
