President of Uzbekistan to Hold Meeting on Annual Economic Results and Receive Several High-Level Foreign Guests
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Today, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan will chair an extended meeting to review the preliminary economic results of 2025 and discuss key macroeconomic targets set for 2026, the presidential press service reported.
In the afternoon, the Head of State will receive a U.S. delegation led by Sergio Gor, the Special Presidential Envoy for South and Central Asia. The talks will focus on regional cooperation and further strengthening the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and the United States.
This week, international attention will turn to Samarkand, which will host the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference — the first time the event will be held outside Paris. The President of Uzbekistan will attend the opening ceremony and present new initiatives aimed at promoting international cooperation in culture, science, and education. A series of bilateral meetings with heads of foreign delegations is also planned on the sidelines of the conference.
In the coming days, Uzbekistan will also welcome the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, and the President of the Republic of Finland, Alexander Stubb, on official visits. The upcoming high-level talks will address the strengthening of political dialogue, expansion of trade, economic and investment cooperation, and further development of humanitarian relations.
