President of Uzbekistan to Attend Military Parade in China
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The President of Uzbekistan will take part in a military parade in Beijing dedicated to the anniversary of Japan’s capitulation in World War II, reports CCTV.
The solemn event will be held on 3 September in Tiananmen Square.
A total of 26 foreign leaders will attend the celebration, including the presidents and prime ministers of Russia, the DPRK, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, and other countries.
During the parade, China’s Air Force will showcase several types of fighter jets, including upgraded models.
Among the distinguished guests will also be King Norodom Sihamoni of Cambodia, the presidents of Vietnam, Laos, Indonesia, the Maldives, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Iran, Congo, Zimbabwe, and Serbia, as well as the prime ministers of Malaysia, Pakistan, Nepal, and Slovakia, the leader of Cuba, and the acting president of Myanmar.
The event will serve as an important international platform for strengthening bilateral and multilateral relations.
