President of Uzbekistan Takes Short Working Leave

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has gone on short working leave, his press secretary Sherzod Asadov announced on Telegram.

“The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has taken short working leave starting September 29, 2025,” the statement said.

The press secretary did not specify the duration of the president’s leave.

Earlier, in January this year, the head of state also took short leave.
